Philosophy and Approach
Mindfulness is the foundation of my work. Often, we are unconsciously operating on autopilot, and that is when we can get our buttons pushed and become reactive. Cultivating mindfulness helps us to slow down, become more aware of our negative thoughts, feelings and actions and begin to break our chain of reactivity.
My therapy sessions are often conducted with the client in a meditative state.
This allows deeper, unconscious feelings and emotions to be more quickly accessed. Heart and mind
are then more open, and actions more clear and conscious. By bringing awareness and acceptance to negative,
ingrained patterns of thoughts and feelings, you can begin to break the cycle of reactivity and your feelings no longer
hold as much power over you. In other words, you’re no longer over-identified with your emotions. From
this new vantage place it’s possible to challenge irrational, negative beliefs that are not serving you, and choose
more constructive and conscious thoughts and actions. This process may bring you in touch with new visions
and dreams and affords you the opportunity to manifest them in your life.
I create a safe, sacred space for clients and utilize a variety of modalities, tailored to
each individual to help them access their own inner knowing, their true Self, their Spirit. An array coping skills and techniques
are then used so that the client can take action and fulfill their life purpose and dreams.
